Elsighore

L'Elsighore (2341 m) est un sommet mineur de l'Oberland Bernois, entre Kandersteg et Adelboden. J'y ai démarré la saison de ski de randonnée. Du soleil mais pas trop de neige.

Elsighore (2341 m) is a minor summit in the Bernese Oberland. I started there my touring ski season. Sunny day but not so much snow.

Départ de Elsigbach (1300 m). Je monte depuis 5 minutes. Coup d'oeil derrière moi.

En face, je vais devoir me frayer un chemin vers Elsigenalp. Desagréable surprise, le domain skiable est ouvert et le téléphérique fonctionne. Je pensais être tranquille :s.

Ahead, I'm gonna have to find my way up to Elsigenalp. Bad surprise, the ski domain is already opened and the cable war works. I thought I would be alone :s

J'ai eu le choix entre prendre le chemin et le sentier, j'ai pris le sentier. N'a pas été simple :). Une vague trace m'a aidé à trouver la sortie.

I hesitated between the main trail and a summer track. I took the track and it was not easy :-). A loose trace helped me to keep up.

 

Au bout d'une heure et demie, j'arrive à Elsigenalp (1800 m). Je tente de rester le plus à l'écart possible des pistes.

After 90 min, I am at Elsigenalp (1800 m). I try to stay away as much as possible from the ski slopes. 

L'Elsighore se trouve 500 mètres plus haut. J'ai trouvé un coin très calme.

En plan large, Adelboden. J'ai bien aimé ce passage, très tranquille, montée pépère dans les sapins en plein soleil.

Wide angle, over Adelboden. I liked that part, easy, sunny and quiet way up in the trees.

Je fini par rejoindre le téléski, au sommet du domaine skiable. Par chance il ne fonctionne pas encore, je suis seul :-). Le sommet, à 2341 m, n'est plus très loin.

Now below the ski lift that goes to the top of that ski domain. Luckily it's off so I'm alone :-). The summit isn't far away now.

J'en termine. Jolie vue là haut. Au nord, la vallée de Frutigen, le Niesen puis le lac de Thun sous le brouillard.

I'm done. Nice views up there. To the north, the Frutigen valley, Niesen and lake Thun under the fog.

Le Doldenhorn, qui me fait bien envie depuis longtemps. De cet angle, la voie normale a l'air bien pentue :-)

Doldenhorn, witch I wanna do for a long time. From that perspective, the normal route looks pretty steep :-).

Au sud ouest, Grosse Loner, Wildstrubel et Wildhorn notamment. Je range l'appareil photo, c'est parti pour la descente sur les pistes, pas sur les sentiers ^-^

Beau début de saison, sommet facile avec une belle vue. La neige n'était bonne que là haut, sinon assez dure et pas très épaisse. Ca va venir je suppose :-).

Nice season warm up with an easy summit and nice views. The snow was only good near the top, otherwise hard and not so deep. It will come soon I hope :-).
